Olympics Chocolate Muffins on The Washington Post & Mashing Two Viral Recipes Together!
Like every other chronically online millennial who loves food, I have come across the viral Olympic chocolate muffins, which led me down a rabbit hole of recipe developing what I assume this viral treat tastes like based on videos and descriptions from the athletes! My recipe got picked up by The Washington Post and they made their own iteration of the recipe!
Honey Butter Whipped Cheesecake Sandwich
I came across two viral videos; honey butter toast and deep fried whipped cream sandwiches from Japan, and I thought to myself, what if I mashed them together? I made this dessert even more epic with a cardamom cream cheese whipped cream! The cream cheese adds a nice tartness and richness to the mousse that works so damn well with the honey toast!
The honey toast is super crispy and caramelized, and the filling is light and fresh. Now, you don’t necessarily have to stuff the honey toast with the cream cheese filling; you could easily just dollop it onto the toast and serve it with some fresh fruit on top! But if you decide to make it into a sandwich, be sure to use a thick, and I mean thiccccc, slice of white bread or brioche!
